Hi,

I inherited some C++ code which generates UDP traffic from XP.

I wish to add some code to mark the DSCP field of the IP packets.

I understand that I need to add "setsockopt" after the socket is
created, but as a non programmer, Im unsure how to proceed.

Best regards

Brendan

Hello Brendank,

The coding changes should be straight forward, but let me refer you to
  http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q248611
which describes limitations of "setsockopt" for Windows 2000, XP, and
2003 server. Those versions of Windows require registry changes to run
the application.

Do you have control of the systems used to run the application to make
those registry changes?

Please understand that I don't want to give you a "correct" answer
that you can't utilize.
