I am travelling to Rome, Italy very very soon and want to visit a
restaurant that my grandfather took my father to when he was a child.
The name of the
restaurant is "Piccolo Mondo". It is in Rome and I cannot find the
phone number anywhere. Please note that it is NOT a hotel or part of
a hotel but just a restaurant. I do not know if this restaurant has
closed. I know that it was open as recently as three years ago. Can
someome please help me????? If it is open, it would mean the world
to me to visit there and maybe have lunch.

Dear katelus,

Since I bing unpleasant news, I decided not to post it as an answer
you'd have to pay for.

I managed to locate the restaurant you have in mind. It's the
family-owned Ristorante Piccolo Mondo, existing at least since 1954 in
the Via Aurora 39d. Here is an older profile I found; newer entries in
other restaurant guides provided a different telephone number,
06-4814595:
http://www.menudiroma.com/ita/Scheda.asp?idRistorante=1585

However, it seems that the restaurant is not existing anymore, or at
least the name was changed. The current telephone directories list as
the owner of that telephone numner the restaurant "Essepierre",
located at exactly the same address, Via Aurora 39d in Rome.

All I can do is give you their telephone number, so you can call them
and inquire whether they are identical with the former Piccolo Mondo,
or if the entire restaurant changed: +39(0)6-4814595.
