Question ID: 727849
I would like to be able to search company descriptions/profiles on all
publicly traded companies in the United States. Is there a site to do
this?? For example, if I wanted to find all companies with
"construction" or "ethanol" in their profiles.

Yahoo Finance should be perfect for what you need:

Just enter your search term of interest, and the results will be
sorted by news items, company profiles, and a few other categories.

For instance, a search on [ construction ] has more than 2,000 company
results...companies with 'construction' in their name or profile.

Clicking on 'more' will show you the list of both public and private companies.

Hope that's what you need, but if there's anything else I can do for
you, just let me know.
