enver-ga,

This certainly seems to be the most directly on-point study related to
your question:

http://www.apa.org/journals/features/psp793410.pdf
Emotion Regulation and Memory: The Cognitive Cost of Keeping One's Cool

In brief, it says that some -- but not all -- forms of emotional
self-control can impair short-term memory and retention.

Have a look, and let me know if this is the sort of thing you're
seeking, and if so, what additional information you would like to have
to make for a complete answer to your question.

Cheers,

pafalafa-ga

shouldnt be too many. if posible i need to know what studies have been
done looking at self regulation and short term memory (working memory)

hows about just take the time to seriously think about it. after all
you ARE human arent you?? so who better to think about regulation and
memory?? if that fails drink as much beer as possible. you will learn
that you have solved your problem of regulation (intake of beer) and
you wont have much memory so...well i dont have an answer to that one.

hehe, funny, buts its more to do with regulating how we express
oursleves when we are really feeling something else. ie, seeing
something funny, but not showing it, there are studies that this uses
up a precious resource and the depletion of this resource has effects
on memory. what i need is a summary of these studies
