Dear cleaning-ga;

Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question.

SALARY EXPERT.COM defines the responsibility of a ?custodian? this way:

?Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition hotel, office building,
apartment house, or similar building. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and
vacuums hallways, stairs and office space. Empties trash and garbage
containers. Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or
additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. A
combination of over one month of directly related training and/or
experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities
for this job.?

Using data relative to the Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria area the database
indicates that reasonable salary expectations average an annual salary
of $21,391. When benefits and bonuses are added to this salary, the
average total compensation for this position would be $24,414. The
report goes on to say that half of those in this position would earn
between $16,071 and $27,890 (the 17th and 67th percentiles). These
figures, of course, represent the majority of lowest to highest paid
positions in the Cleveland area.

(SalaryExpert reports are derived from eDOT, U.S. IRS, OES, SEC,
various countries' national statistic offices, and SalariesReview
(international) databases.)
