PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Belinda Hanson was graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law
and admitted to practice in California in 1990. She received her B.A.
with honors from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut in 1986,
having spent one year as a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
Belinda began her career with a major San Francisco law firm where she
specialized in labor and employment law. She has practiced family law
exclusively since 1993. Belinda is a Certified Specialist in Family
Law, and has completed extensive training in mediation. Belinda has
lectured and published articles in the family law field, most recently
co-authoring with Tanya Prioste the article "The Condon Conundrum: New
Legal Hurdles and Practice Considerations in International Move-Away
Cases" published in Family Law News in Spring 2000, Volume 23, Number
1 (the official publication of the State Bar of California Family Law
Section) She is an active member of the San Mateo County Bar
Association and co-chaired the Family Law Section 1994 and 1995.
Belinda is the co-founder of the Peninsula Collaborative Family Law
Group. She currently serves as a trustee of the The Thatcher School,
