My parents entered usa on a b2 visa. at the port of entry they were given a duration of stay (on I 94, admitte until nov 2007) of one and half years. Is this a valid stay for a visitor. Do you think the CBP official made a mistake. Can they stay for the total one and a half years |

This site seems to say that an 18 months' stay is valid. Note that it points out that the visa may be valid for 5 years, but that the duration of a visit may not be for the full period of validity. http://www.usembassyjakarta.org/consular/useb1b2.html This is, of course, no professional or legal advice from me. |
