Interesting question, but unfortunately may not be something you can get answered through Google. There are various fee-based services available that research old stocks and bonds. The SEC has a list of some of these services at this website: http://www.sec.gov/answers/oldcer.htm Best of luck, ericynot |

Hi moosemason, Even if the stocks have no value as shares in a company, there is quite a market for stock certificates as collectibles. I have seen prices ranging from $10-$20 on the low end to $300 and up on the high end. The website for Scripophily.com has listings of prices for various old stock certs and for a fee will research your stock. They also buy old stock certificates. In the "learn something new every day" department, scripophily is the name for the hobby of collecting old stock and bond certificates. I didn't find your stock listed on their website but you may find some helpful information on old stocks in general at their site: http://www.scripophily.com/ Hope this helps, wayga-ga |

I used to work for A.G. Edwards, and I was told that they would provide exactly this sort of service. Whether they will do so only for employees and customers, I do not know, but it certainly couldn't hurt you to call and ask nicely. Their number is (314) 955-3000 (St.Louis, MO); ask for the department that handles stock certificates. Good Luck! |
