What is a ballpark amount that the winner of a Caldecott Award
children's book might receive in royalties for the book in the first 2
years?

Too bad it depends on the deal they signed before they got the award.

While a lot of additional sales might be expected after an award, 
as libraries pick up a copy or two and so on.

You could write each of the winners and ask but I think most would
refuse to answer, unless you had IRS stationary.
