Naturally, the Answer MUST BE Lancashire but it would be nice to see it quantified.

I mean 'most' in terms of individual Players, not the Number of
Appearances; so Mahmood (1) ranks alongside Statham (70).

Guys like Tyson, who was born in Lancashire but played elsewhere, don't count.

Likewise, guys like De Freitas, who got an International Cap before
joining the Greatest County, don't count.

'Fast Medium' bowlers (like Pollard) are OK but mere Medium Pacers and
slower bowlers don't count.

It would be nice to go back to the Year Dot, whenever that was.

Fast Bowlers who are 'All-rounders', like Flintoff, should be included.

Again, Many Thanks A-F.

I hadn't realised that this would prove such a tough one and I am
sorry that my interest is not matched by my purse.

So ... Here come the Curtains!

Followed by a Round of Prolonged Applause.

I will bet that it won't be Rutland.
There is a fair chance that Bryan already knows that it is his home
county of Lancashire. I understand that a lot of the natives there
speak an odd dialect that makes it impossible for them to earn a
living in any profession that requires good verbal skills. Some
escape, however. ;)

Bryan,

No luck with this. There are no county web sites claiming this particular glory.
I?ve found one way of doing it, but there are 632 records to go
through! Also some of the descriptions of the bowling style are a
little beyond me. Unfortunately the search filter does not include
county of origin.

Perhaps a keen fan of the game may know the answer.

Many thanks, A-F, for taking a look.

If you can't crack it then nobody can.

All the Best

Bryan
