This must be GA's most frequently asked question.

You might want to browse through some of the previous material posted

the meaning of life cannot be answered just lik dat.....Its a
complicated thing which most of the people do researches all their
life time......LIFE is not just birth, growth and death.......there are
lot which cannot be understood i a single life period.....LIFE is
something were one always in chase after something....He will be in
chase of the day to day needs or spiritual needs...watever it is
humans dont get the satisfaction....LIFE is jus a short period were
people live greedly and die....LIFE is a zone were people try to
understand the necessity in living....They understand what

There are a lot of answers in Google Answers already but I have a
little bit different view. The short answer to this question is to
become a God. Yes, the lifetime given to a person is a challenge to
become a God. None of people have succeeded one this quest yet.

Here is the longer version for my answer.

Here is a little preach.

Once I was reading a book and came across on an interesting story. I
like reading books about people's lives, their destinies and fortunes.
And I found that particular story to be amazing. So I decided to share
it with you.

The book was telling about a life of one man who was the wisest person
on the planet. And no one else was or would ever be as wise as he was.
The book was actually a collection of fairy tales and I never treated
them seriously. But I was intrigued by this story and decided to read
it more closely. Maybe I could find something interesting and useful
for me.

The man was a King. His name was Solomon. He was the richest and the
most powerful person in the World. Whatever he saw he received.
Whatever any man could only dream of he possessed. Gold was like sand
for him and women like water. He built beautiful cities and was very
famous. Yet he was unhappy.

Why? Because he was getting old and the finest things didn't bring joy
to him anymore. He realized that all his wisdom, power and wealth was
nothing. He would die soon eventually and all of his possessions would
become useless for him. He couldn't hold them forever. So he
questioned himself why he became so wise, rich and powerful? What was
the meaning? There was no difference between a king and an ordinary
man. Both were born naked and would die naked.

Then there was a moment of truth for me. This king was actually an
unusual character. He had a chance to get what he was missing but he
blew it off.
