It seems that most plantations are either privately owned or owned in
collective coops. The few plantations that are owned by public
companies are often just a small source of profit- nestle for example
owns some coffee plantations.
I have listed what I did find so you can let me know if this is helpful or not.

"You can take all the tea in China and throw it in the deep blue sea
and Tata Tea wouldn't care. Tata Tea (owner of UK's Tetley Tea,
supplier to the Queen) is one of India's largest tea growers and
marketers, selling its coffee, tea, and spices in India and more than
30 other countries. The company owns both tea and coffee plantations
as well as facilities for the production of pepper, turmeric, chilies,
ginger, nutmeg, and other spices. Tata bought the venerable Tetley Tea
in 2000 for $475 million and is looking for other acquisitions, mainly
in the herbal tea market. Tata Tea Group is a subsidiary of Indian
conglomerate, Tata Group.
Tata Tea Group is comprised of Tata Tea, based in India, and the
Tetley Goup, based in the UK. Tata's brands inlcude Chakra Gold,
Gemini, Kanan Devan, Tata, and Tetley. Its products are available in
about 40 countries worldwide. The company also owns Tata Coffee, which
manufactures instant and ground coffee.
In 2005 the company agreed to acquire the Santa Cruz, California-based
botanical tea company FMALI Herb Inc. and its subsidiary Good Earth
Corporation."
