I would love to find out who owns the Cammo Tower in Edinburgh. It was
built in 1871 and there is plenty of details about the tower (type
cammo tower edinburgh into Google) but I cannot find out who owns it.
I have tried Edinburgh City Council and Historic Scotland but to luck.
My aim would be to see if it was for sale, although I doubt it is.
Thanks.

It appears that the entirety of the Cammo Estate now belongs to the
Edinburgh City Council.

"The National Trust for Scotland (which has a conservation agreement
for the whole of the Cammo House Estate) feued the building to
Edinburgh City Council in c.1980 as part of an agricultural tenancy."

This estate appears to be the same property upon which the Cammo Tower
stands according to this official Instrument dated 1998:

Statutory Instrument 1998 No. 3182 (S. 192)

The building referred to in your answer is the Cammo House Stables,
not the tower - see attached link:
http://www.buildingsatrisk.org.uk/view.asp?SCT+Ref+No=1256.

I have been through this website and cannot see any mention of the
tower. I have also contacted Edinburgh City Council and they didn't
help much either....
