Question: I would like to know how much commission a broker employee
makes at a stock brokerage company. I know their total income would
be based on various conditions of their employment, so I will set some
criteria to help with the answer.
The answer only needs to be general and approximate, nothing needs to
be specific.
A major brokerage company such as Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch.
A person with less than 10 years experience.
Not a partner or officer
The person would be an ordinary customer’s man.
Personal commission, on stock sale or purchase.
Personal commission, on bond sale or purchase.
Do they receive a commission, when funds are parked (placed) into
their company’s cash sweep “money market fund”.
Would they also get a bonus at the end of the year.
Would they get any base pay other than commission or bonus
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

I can ask the question in the next issue of my newsletter if you wish
( http://www.datashaping.com/newsletter.shtml ).

You can also apply for a broker position to have an idea.
