When I plug my Apple Powerbook into my TV using appropriate S-Video cables, and click the option to look for displays, the Apple display comes up in black and white on my television, while it remains in color on the laptop. Any ideas of how to fix this? It used to work fine. Just in case, but I don't think this is part of the problem - my Apple is from the U.S. and my TV is U.K. THANKS! |

Since you say you are using the appropriate S-video cable, the following probably doesn't apply, but I thought I'd mention it anyway: "Question: Why does my television only show images in black and white when connected to the computer with a composite cable? Answer: This usually means you are not using the S-video-to-composite cable that came with your PowerBook computer. You are most likely using an S-Video input cable. Use the S-video-to-composite cable that came with your PowerBook computer instead." http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58392 |
