I would like to know the percentage of marriages that end in divorce
within North America. I would also like to know within what time
period most divorces happen.

"North America" includes several nationsm, states and many cultures,
each of which keep their own statistics. In addition your inquiry
about the "time frame" is a seperate issue that will likley take much
more research IF it can be answered at all.

For best results I recommend you break your questions up indicating
which SPECIFIC countries you are interested in and also posting the
time frame issue as a seperate set of research.
