Enumclaw looks like a very nice and peaceful place, but so does much of the Congo, and you have some serious public events coming up that obviously call for international observation. http://www.ci.enumclaw.wa.us/localevents.htm Any place with "claw" in its name is obviously full of antagonistic reactionaries. To avoid upsetting the populace, there has been no public notice about the UN observers, but no fear, they are harmless, probably can be driven away with a paintball attack. Or maybe they are just lost, probably wondering about the lovely scenery while they think that they are on their way to the Sudan. |

They could possibly be U.S. Army trucks painted white for use in a United Nations peacekeeping force somewhere in the world. The Irish Army is involved in a U.N. peacekeeping force in Liberia. Irish military vehicles with UN markings can sometimes be seen driving on Irish roads. Perhaps they are on the way to a port or airport to be shipped abroad, or else just after being returned from a country of peacekeeping operations. Maybe someone else will have more specific local knowledge to answer your query. Another possibility is that they have been purchased by a private individual from former military owners. |

That must be it. I'm betting it is the upcoming 2nd Annual "Artists in Heat" Sculpture and Garden Exhibition that is the cause. Thanks for the giggles... no answer and I havent' seen them for a month or so. Lisa |
