I have been looking for this song that I had sung at my wedding. So I
know it is a real song it is called "One Always" I don't know who it
is sung by that's part of the problem. I have even e-mailed radio stations
and record companies. Some were no responses. Any way the lyrics are
something like "One in heart two in love, two made one by the One
above, One in the Spirit, We'll be One always..." So, I would like to
know who sang it? and if it is possible to get the CD/Album Name, and
where to purchase it? I know
it was released prior to 1992, probably even before 1987

Yes, it is a "real" song, although a rather obscure one by a
short-lived Christian band. The good news is that a) I've just been
through researching another rather obscure love song for a friend of a
friend; and b) I've found at least a few cds supposedly available for
sale, if you want the song badly enough to pay $20. The song was
recorded by a band called Paradise on their album Can't You See the
Light, released in 1989. The brief description below was posted on a
music website. I will reproduce it in its entirety, although you may
not agree with the poster's opinion of the band. If you're interested,
the web page itself has live links for the two band members mentioned
that will take you to brief profiles on them and their subsequent
musical projects.

"Onetime gospel performers Paradise made a little noise on the soul
and dance-pop circuit in the mid-'80s, although the song "One Mind,
Two Hearts" was their biggest hit. Paul Johnson and Doug Williams had
booming, declarative voices, but the group's potential was eventually
wasted due to substandard material and productions that put more
emphasis on the background arrangments than on their solid voices."

Here is the specific information that led me to the name of the band,
and eventually the title of the album. This information comes from the
ASCAP copyright database.

Writers:
KILBY SHELTON E III
MC KEE DWIGHT ANTHONY

Performers:
PARADISE

Publishers/Administrators:
NEO GOSPEL PUBLISHING

And below are two sites currently offering the cd for sale in new and
used condition. Half.com has one copy listed for $16.99 (plus
shipping). Another website (second URL below) that specializes in
hard-to-find music is listing three cds for sale, two in the US and
one in France. The available cds with their price, condition,
location, and rating of the seller are on the bottom half of the page.
If you click on the first one listed, it shows the same track listing
as shown on half.com (I'm not sure the genre is "Black Gospel," since
the music.com website notes that one of the vocalists is/was from
London?).

I hope this information will help you find a copy of the cd with the
song you are seeking!
