Looking for statistics/sources of e-mail usage/proliferation from 2000-2005

Different sources provide lots of different types of statistics, and I
know of only one source for email stats that provides global data that
is comparative from year to year.

Their figures go back to about 2003, and project ahead to 2009.  Will
that range meet your needs?
