Hi nicksnickname, Thank you for your question. It can also be called 'nightly turndown service' and varies from hotel to bed and breakfast to ship, etc.) But basically it's a service performed either upon request or complimentary that provides the guest with a service in the evening prior to bedtime. Better Bed and Breakfasts http://www.betterbedandbreakfasts.com/cumberlandfalls/index.htm "Each evening we perform turndown service which includes clean towels, light room maintenance, linen turndown and bedside chocolates." ========= http://www.igougo.com/planning/journalEntryAccommodation.asp?newbusinesscardID=159626&n=French+Quarter+Inn "In the evening, turndown service is provided. You receive a praline and tomorrow?s weather forecast, with a copy of the breakfast menu tucked into your robe." ========= search: personal knowledge ========= Best regards, tlspiegel |

In case you are wondering, the expression "turndown service" refers to the "turning down" of the bed covers, including removing the bedspread, as well as the other amenities mentioned. |
