Question ID: 731685
I am looking for a complete link list of off-road ATV and dirt bike
publications, influential web sites and portals in the interest of sending press
releases for new products to them. New product editor contact info is
preferred but general information for accepting press releases
electronically is acceptable.

There are a number of discussion groups for off road riders and racers
that should also be included - I would expect the answer to include
ATV Sport and Dirt Rider magazines, ATVriders.com and YFZcentral
portals to name an obvious few.

For examples - for ATV Sport, I would be looking for the following
page (or better):
http://www.atvsport.com/output.cfm?id=30421

For ATVriders.com I would expect (or better):
http://www.atvriders.com/contactus/index.html

I am NOT looking for links to .pdf documents of media kits unless you
can provide us with the page number of the information we are looking
for (or better, a direct link to the info in the html version of the
.pdf document). It is absolutely acceptable to just provide us with
the information itself in a list :-) - but please include a link as
well so that we may update information as necessary later.

We want to be able to cut and past from the destination pages of your
links and would prefer html to do so.

Thank you.

How many links would constitute an acceptable answer?

Thanks for your suggestion and I agree - the question is too open
ended. I hope this clarifies our expectations.

We suspect that there are a half a dozen or so national print
publications and a few more national or super regional influential
portals for the ATV racing market alone. We don't know the dirt bike
market as well, but suspect there are at least that many serving that
market.

We are focused on the off-road racing segments, so you can disregard
the hunting and touring focused pubs for now. There are endless
numbers of local racing clubs and team sites - we are not looking for
those - but would be interested in super regional portals if they
exist (northeast region or mid-west focused, for instance).

All this to say that we would expect between 30 to 45 targets in a
satisfactory answer. We realize that some of the majors have multiple
titles (2 magazines and a web portal, for example) and would count as
multiple targets toward our goal.

Thanks.

Hello section4row17-ga,

I suggest that you close this question and post two new ones. You
might have a better chance of getting at least a partial answer if you
post separate questions for the two topics -- ATVs and dirt bikes. You
could also specify a minimum number of sites that will be acceptable
for an answer and pay a good tip if the researcher exceeds your
expectations.

Good luck.

Researchers are often leery of taking on a question which requires a
"complete" list, since it is often difficult (if not impossible) to
guarantee the completeness of any research project. You may do better
if you specify a finite number of links that would constitute a
satisfactory answer.

So, how might this be made more attractive? Have we asked for too
many? Any advice?
