i am seeking an electronic patient log (to run on a palm tx). it should allow the patient to track a number of bipolar related daily experience data, then ideally, be able to port back to a pc in order to print-off a weekly and monthly trend logs. finally, the best solution is a program that allows the dr. to include custom fields for patient tracking and reporting. a program allowing customization of all fields would be ideal. although palm provides excel capability, the writer does not have the skills to develop a suitable spreadsheet. an alternate solution may to be hire someone through this connection to prepare such a spreadsheet. |

The best tool for simple and efficient log monitoring would be to use Excel. It is defnitely possible to have a spreadsheet with flexible options for the dr to include customised fields. The Macros feature in Excel could be used to generate tailormade reports on a periodic basis .. weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and so on.. At the outset this kind of tool build up is defnitely a possibility and do let me know if you are keen to have it developed. Cheers MK |
