Question ID: 732379
I am looking for the name and a source of the white 'filler'
beads/pelts used in children's game "eye spy bag" as seen at this
link:
http://www.enasco.com/earlylearning/ProductDetail.do?sku=SN01699J

I would like to make some of the bags, but cannot find a source of the beads.
So, I would like to a)know the name of the beads- or a common name,
b)have a comparison of online sources (preferrable 3) c) include the
minimum order quantity and price of the items at each online source

Hi Tricot!

Thank you very much for requesting me! I'm letting you know that I've
seen your questions and am working on them. I have a few concurrent
projects right now, so I'm working on getting an answer to you in the
next week or two (although this particular question can be answered
sooner than that). Does that work for you? Again, thank you so much!

Sincerely,
Boquinha-ga

Hello tricot-ga!

Thank you again for thinking of me for this question. Luckily, my
sister-in-law recently made these as gifts for our children, so I
asked her about the material she used. She tells me
(reluctantly?family trade secret!) that they are called Poly-PelletsÒ
and are often used to stuff dolls as well (thus, ?doll pellets? can
also be used). Here is the official site for Poly-PelletsÒ and related
products: http://www.poly-fil.com/pellets.asp. There is a nice
comparison on that site of branded Poly-PelletsÒ and generic doll
pellets. My sister-in-law personally bought them at Michael?s (see the
product information at:
http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayProductPage?productNum=nw0201).
You cannot purchase them online from Michael?s, however. They would
like you to use one of their ?brick-and-mortar? stores instead.

following site. The 2-lb bags are $4.95 and the 25-lb bags are $54.95.

This site has 5-lb and 50-lb bags available. The 5-lb bags start at
$10.75 and there are volume discounts if you buy 5 or 10 bags. The
50-lb bags are $83.

Thanks Boquinha-ga. You gave an excellent answer! Very complete, and
you even gave me more cost comparisons that I asked for. I hope I
didn't get you in trouble with your sister-in-law! I appreciate your
help.
