my 2000 dodge grand caravan has had recent brake jobs on front and rear. just last week i noticed when you press beaks to far down to the floor they make a loud squeeling noise when you put into drive or at a stop sign. i don't normally push that far down to take it out of park but my wife does as wants an answer to this , PLEASE. When you say it happens when putting it in dirve or at a stop sign, is the car actually moving at that point? If not, then it might be a belt is slightly loose and making the squeal. If the car is moving, it is likely some brake dust making the squeal. If you had your brake pads replaced with "lifetime" semi-metalic/ceramic pads, they are also empirically "known" to squeak more than softer pads. For your wife's peace of mind, take the car back to the shop and tell them that the brakes they replaced are squealing and have them diagnose the problem. |
