I've been looking all around for school or even a private instructor
to teach me how to drive manual or stick shift but with no luck... I
am intrested in schools in Tampa or cities around it by 30 or so miles
and they should provide the car to learn on.

aldousari81,

Congratulations on wanting to learn to drive a standard
transmission/stick shift. I drove one for 35 years, and reluctantly
gave it up when I found myself needing a mini-van! Standard
transmissions save quite a bit of gas, and give the driver “control”
of the car!
I found a list of driving schools for the Tampa area, which I have
included below. I called one of the schools - Driving School, 1113 Dr
Martin Luther King Jr Tampa, FL (813) 248-3009 , and found out they do
NOT teach standard transmission driving. The very nice woman there
gave me 3 phone numbers of schools she says DO teach standard
transmission driving. She would not give me the names of the schools,
and she emphasized that neither she nor her school endorsed them.
813-899-9511
813-243-8228
813-837-9893
By doing a reverse phone number look up, I was able to find the
address of the last number:
Safer Dixie Driving School, Tampa, Florida , Phone 813-837-9893

I have still included the first two numbers, because they may be too
new to be in the reverse look up, although it MAY turn out they are no
longer open (!). (I just noticed the second number is included in the
list below)

I was able to find this list of driving schools in Tampa. None of
them specifies whether they teach standard transmission (stick shift)
or not.
