I am trying to verify the name of (and find out more information about)
a pharmaceutical CEO's 'club'. In a recent meeting I had with the CEO
of a pharmaceutical company, he mentioned the existence of this
private club. I didn't take notes and so I'm relying on my memory for
details of this club. Unfortunately I didn't take notes but I remember
the following, which may be partly inaccurate:

The club may have been called 'the Dalton club'.
Access to the club is restricted to CEOs of pharmaceutical companies
The club meets annually.
The club met in Lisbon previously.
The club is named after a famous hotel in Switzerland where it first came together.

I believe you're thinking of the annual Davos meeting of the World Economic Forum:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Economic_Forum

This meeting is NOT restricted to the pharma industry. However, it is
an invitation-only meeting at the highest levels, attracting CEOs,
presidents of countries and companies, the academic elite, and so on.

Here's another link, FYI:

Think this is it...?

On reflection, I am certain the meeting you are asking about is the
Davos meeting, even though it is not limited in attendance to only
pharmaceutical
CEOs.

Davos is a Swiss resort city, and home of the World Economic Forum's
annual meetings:

The Davos meetings are an invitation-only meeting at the highest
levels, attracting CEOs, presidents of countries and companies, the
academic elite, movie stars, and so on.

Here's another link on the Davos meetings:

and here's some information on one of their 2000 meetings, held in Lisbon:

Let me know if you need any additional information on this annual
get-together of international power-houses.
