Well they are not made in the uk, all vw's are imported. The VW golf is made in Germany, at the Wolfsburg plant. Its the largest assembly plant in the world. They also have a golf assembly plant in brussels. Golf production for the 1989 model year was now split between Germany and VW's plant in Mexico but the cars themselves were basically reruns of the '88 models. Apparently the new Golf V station wagon will be built at the puebla factory in Mexico. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=105265 |

The VW Golfs are manufactured at the Wolfsburg plant in Germany currently. The VW also plans to have a new manufacturing plant in Russia for the manufacture of many of its modes such as Skoda and VW golf as well. but that is in the future. |
