Strange problem...
My company has recently bought a newspaper from an editor and included
in the purchase price was a number of PC computers and a server.

I removed these PC machines (each running Win 2000 Pro) from a domain
and entered them into a Workgroup. These machines were linked to an
external site, via the server, managing the access to certain
programs; a sort of TSE connection if you like.

After rebooting a number of programs were deleted including pck office
and the programs owned by the previous company.

Since rebooting I have encountered two problems:
1. I cannot access certain internet sites, such as Google, Yahoo, most
major search engines etc
2. I cannot copy a file, folder, element or anything for that matter
from either disk D to disk C; from disk C to disk C; to and from a new
server etc. There is no message error whilst attempting to copy.

I am logged in as Administrator and should I want to terminate a
process I am told, quite bluntly, that I do not have sufficient access
rights?!

I do not want to reinstall the system on 12 machines : we're producing
a weekly newspaper and the delay would be catastophic. Any ideas???

Much apprecited

Sean
