Hi Czh-Ga!
Thanks for the link..Your link gives a portion of the answer
I'm specifically interested in the cost "break down" analysis of the
physical credit card: cost for plastic, cost for color printing, cost
for engraving, cost for encoding, cost for quality control and
shipment, add on profit for the card manufacturer. This will give the
price the credit card issuing bank pays for the card.
Hope you can give further answers.

Hello creditcard1-ga,
As you can see from the previous question I posted, the information
you're looking for is not readily available. I'd love to help but the
price you've posted for your question simply cannot cover the time and
effort it will take to find an answer for you. I see this is the first
question you've posted on Google Answers. I suggest that you review
the following links so you can get the most out of this service.

Hi Czh-Ga!
Thanks for more info. I'll up the price to 25$.
Is this reasonable. Hope you can provide the actual price (price break
down) that MBNA bank and Citibank and Bank of America and/or Capital
one Bank pays to get a magnetic stripe card with hologram. (not
interested in smartcard price right now).
Thanks for your help

Hello creditcard1-ga,
I don't know if changing the price to $25 will make it sufficiently
interesting to researchers. My impression is that the credit card
industry is extremely secretive about every aspect of the business
because of fears of counterfeiting. If a researcher is familiar with
the industry, they might be able to find this information quickly. On
the other hand, it might be a really tough search. I did a quick
search and I have to bow out from pursuing this further.
Best wishes for your project.

Hi Czh-Ga,
Would $50 make it interesting? sorry that's all I can afford for my
research project.
Let me know your feedback. Thanks.

Hello creditcard1-ga,
Change the price to $50 and see what happens. If the information is
available, the price will be attractive enough for a researcher to
find it. If there are difficulties with getting the information, the
clarification process will tell you about them.
I suggest that you change the price now. Many researchers don't bother
looking at low priced questions.
Good luck.
