Women can certainly be gurus, which means teachers, way-showers,
divine beings capable of bestowing enlightenment, those who can
point the way to enlightenment, etc.
Yoga, however is a specific path to spiritual growth and/or
enlightenment, and, while a woman can certainly serve as a guru
of this specific path, it is naive to limit a guru to one path
toward the Truth, so there are many more female gurus than there
are female gurus specific to the path of yoga.
