Dear pabutt,
I recommend not to do any business with Right Way. Evidence suggests
that they are a scam.
On their website, they claim that this is their company's address in
the Netherlands:
Burgemeester van Heusdenweg 37
West-Terschelling
Netherlands
Telephone: +316 509 888 47
Fax: +318 472 903 61
They used the same address (without the phone and fax number) to
register their web domain.
There is indeed a town named West-Terschelling in the Netherlands (by
the way, the scammers did not even bother to include the postal code,
8881 ED). And there is even a street address Burgemeester van
Heusdenweg 37 in that town. But at that address, there is no company
seat. It's the address of a seaside hotel, the Golden Tulip Resort
Hotel Schylge, and nothing else.
A "company" that presents a fake address as contact information on
their website can't be trusted. And the fact that they used the same
fake contact information to register their domain shows that they are
trying not to be tracked by their victims.
The telephone and fax number are fake, too. First, they are in a wrong
format. The country code of the Netherlands is +31, but the numbers
are incorrectly formatted as if +316 or +318 was the country code. A
real Dutch company would certainly not make that mistake.
And even if we ignore that mistake, the rest of the numbers is
revealing. The prefix of the town of West-Terschelling is (0)562. But
the prefix in the alleged phone number of Right Way is (0)650 - it
belongs to a completely different Dutch region.
The alleged address of their Spanish office is no better:
Avenida del Golf s/n, Costa Deguise
Spain
Telephone: +346 776 043 07
There is no place called Costa Deguise anywhere in Spain. There is
only a town named Costa Teguise, on the Spanish Canary Islands, off
the Atlantic coast of Africa. Again, the scammers were careless enough
to completely omit the postal code (which is 35509). Avenida del Golf
is, by the way, a seaside road where almost exclusively hotels are
located. It is definitely not a location for a financial services
company.
The country code of Spain is +34, so again the number is formatted
incorrectly. The three digits following the country code are the
prefix, 677. But that is a nationwide prefix for Spanish cellphone
networks, so the subscriber with that number could be located anywhere
in the country. As telephone connection for a company's Spanish branch
office, a cellphone appears rather unrealistic.
Finally, their "News" link, pretending to lead to news about their
company at Google, Yahoo etc., actually does mainly lead to various
incarnations of their "press release" they seeded in the Web very
recently, in late May 2006.
This company is very obscure. I recommend not to trust them. You'd be
risk of losing your money.
Regards,
Scriptor
