Question ID: 734309
a. How many metropolitan fire brigades/departments are there world-wide? and
b. How many high-rise rescue trucks do they have?

By "high-rise rescue trucks" I mean "Snorkels", extension ladder
trucks, hydraulic platform trucks (e.g. Bronto Skylift). I do not
want to know how many fire extinguisher or pump trucks there are.

I am only interested in an estimate of current numbers (totals).
If the answer can be specified by country that would be perfect. In
particular I am most interested in metropolitan fire
brigades/departments that are located in regions where there are
high-rise buildings. I am not interested in small towns or country
fire brigades.

If world wide data are unavailable, the most important countries that
I need the information for include: USA, Canada, Brazil, China, Japan,
Malaysia, Spain, UK, Germany, Netherlands.

Many thanks in anticipation - I haven't done too well finding the answers myself.

In the original question I define "high-rescue trucks" - additional
definitions that may be useful are "aerial ladder" or "aerial
platform".
