My company provides CPR and First aid training in the state of
California, primarily Southern California and the San Francisco bay,
and many of our clients are General contractors/construction companies. I
would like to know if there are any general publications that go to
contractors/construction companies that may include advertisements
tailored to that industry. If these publications are widely read by
the contractor/construction company industry that would obviously be
ideal. I could send a postcard, but an advertisement or flier
included in a statewide publication that is being read already is more
cost-effective. A generous tip will be given based on very useful
information.

Hello -

I've identified and spoken with several publication sources that cater
to construction industry professionals in California. All of them
have verbally confirmed their willingness to allow advertising from
first aid/CPR training firms. They are as follows:

(1) California Construction by McGraw-Hill
See: http://california.construction.com/advertise/default.asp
"Reach more than 42,000 real estate, design and construction industry
professionals in California with California Construction ? your best
connection to this lucrative $60 billion market." Print and online
advertising available.

(2) California Builder & Engineer
See: http://www.acppubs.com/contents/pdfs/2006_MG_CBE_Rates.pdf
"California Builder & Engineer is the construction news and
information source for contractors, public officials, and equipment
and material suppliers in California and Hawaii. CB&E is published
twice monthly covering heavy, highway, utility and non-residential
building construction. Contents of each issue include Bid Info;
project and new methods articles; reports on market trends,
legislation and planned private and public construction activity; new
product and manufacturer/distributor reports; and other industry news
in this regional market. In addition, CB&E publishes an annual
Equipment Buyers' Guide, a complete cross-referenced listing of
manufacturers, area distributors and their construction equipment. We
also publish a material, supplies & services directory."
