Usually when I press the "print screen" key, I can paste a copy of the
screen into a Word document or PowerPoint or whatever. Recently I ran
into a Web site that when I clicked "print screen" and tried to paste
it, NOTHING came up. Is there a way around this? Why did this
happen? Thanks!

A URL of a site which could serve as an example would be helpful.

Some websites, especially those with photos, will use javascript and
or ActiveX to disable your ability to use the Print Screen function
(or right click copy too).

You can try disabling javascript and or ActiveX when browsing that
page to see if that works.

If not, you can use a small screen capture program such as
screenhunter which is free:

You can also save a website ( File --> Save as or Save Webpage as ) to
a new folder and then look in that folder for the image that you are
trying to copy.

For example, Go to ://www.google.com and then go to File -->
Choose "Save as" and save that on Desktop. You will see a new file
named Google.htm and a folder named Google_Files. Now, go to this new
folder and you will find the logo.GIF file in there.

The suggestion by 'canadianhelper' should work too.
