Where can I find historical data for horse racing events, including
each race's pre-race odds (Win & Place for each horse) and post-race
payouts (Win, Place, Quinella Place)? I need data for at least 500
races, regardless of where the race was held. If you cannot find 500
races, then races in HK in the past 2-3 years are accepted.

Hi dling...

I have a friend who is quite the pony lover.
He has made a really awesome database analyzer
of horse performances vs past races. Very slick,
and great for handicapping. The reason I mention
this is, he has to pay for the data that he gets.

Most race data does have some price associated
with it. A list like you wish would probably be
about 50c to $1 per race. There might be a site
online where someone has assembled a list like
you desire but you will have no way to authenticate
the data. A reputable horse racing information
site would be the only guaranteed way to get
the most accurate data. I presume accuracy would
be the most important thing here, correct?

'then races in HK in the past 2-3 years are accepted'

HK = ??

thanks,
-AI

Btw, I would like the data in Excel format. I found the data pertinent
to Hong Kong, please provide data in international racing circles now.
Still need at least 500 data points. Thanks.

Have you tried collecting newspaper form guides on 'race days', and
then getting the paper the day after for the results and payouts?
