I am trying to find the number of patients in the US and EU that take
ACE inhibitors. I already know from a journal
article (Drug Safety 2001;24:599) that the total number of patients on
ACE inhibitors worldwide is 30-40 million. I am looking separate
figures for the US and EU. It would be even better if the EU data was
broken down by the the 5 major EU markets (UK, Spain, France, Germany,
Italy) but this isn't necessary.
I am not looking for the total number of ACE inhibitor prescriptions
written, I need the actual number of patients. Also, ACE inhibitors
are used for various indications. I am looking for the total number of
patients, not the number of patients for a specific indication (ie
heart failure or diabetes).
