Extra clues

Using a certain type of number, these were generated by the same way
36,81,72 and 45 will generate a 9.
In the transformation used, and in the example, 0 is eclipsed. So in
the transformation example, 09 and 90 are exactly the same.

I do not believe that there is a next number. What is the context of these?

Either 82 or 91. If I thought about it for a minute I could figure out
which but that would take away from a Researcher's answer.

The sum of the digits of each of the last six numbers is ten. That's
why i'm going with 82 or 91. I realize I'm ignoring some stuff but I
also believe any problem can be solved with a bigger hammer.

I think that the next number in the sequence is 100, and that 6 at the
start of the sequence is a mistake, meant to read 46.
Relationship between numbers (6=46):

46
   -36
10 45
   09
19 -09
   00
19 09
   09
28 27
   36
64 -45
   -09
55 27
   18
73 09
   27
100
