Only Bush and Rice know if it is true or not, but here is another
outrageous conspiracy:

As a Democrat, nothing would make me happier. All the hell he's put
our country through has not brought him down, but God knows a little
hanky-panky is bad for the country and must be dealt with through
impeachment proceedings.

"Are George W. Bush and Conde Rice having an affair as reported by BBC

This is an old rumor. And unproveable. Every powerful leader is
subjected to such speculation. (President Coolidge's wife was rumored
to be cuckolding her husband with a Secret Service agent later sent
off to Alaska). President Bush was linked to his long time aide Karen
Hughes by a young speech writer who thought they looked too cozy
around each other. He was subsequently told to drop it. Sec. Rice is
an obvious target of gossip as a very attractive, highly educated
black women making rapid advance in powerful circles. Former mentors
include Madeleine Albright's father, a political science professor;
Gen. Colin Powell; Gen Brent Scowcroft. Her workout regime with the
president puts her in regular proximity. The frequent absence of the
First Lady fuels such gossip. The BBC recently claimed that a tiff
sent Laura Bush to the Mayflower Hotel with her SS entourage. Several
Freudian slips by Sec. Rice about the President as her "husband" have
added to the scenerio. Somehow gossip has Sec. Rice morphed into a
"Wallis Simpson type". It's power, it's Washington and it's summer.

While it would be vastly amusing if there were an affair between the
President and Secretary of State, I think that if there were the
slightest whiff of one, the scandal in the media would be so big we
couldn't miss it. So there's probably no chance of it.
