Since no official researcher has grabbed this one, I'll take a crack at it.
I don't see any listings for the sheet music, so I suggest you call up
the publishers of the song and plead your case. Maybe someone will
find your story heart-warming enough to go into the files and pull out
the music and Xerox it for you. Since it doesn't appear to have been
commercially published yet, it may only be chord notation and lead
melody line and hand transcribed, but it's better than nothing.
I've done this in the past and the key thing is to be schmoozy and
sound like a really nice person -- not a professional singer! You
need to make it clear that you're a "civilian" and that you're not
going to be performing the song for commercial gain, but that this
number is "our special song."
"The Last Time" was written by David Foster, Amy Foster-Gillies and
Eric Benet (Jordan is his last name).
Each seems to have his/her own publishing company, as well as the main
one, which is Universal/Polygram, so all roads seem to lead there:

Now, if you REALLY want to throw yourself at someone's mercy, you
could try calling Eric Benet's manager, Dolores Robinson at Dolores
Robinson Entertainment in LA. 310 777-8777. Pour your heart out to
her assistant.
Good Luck! While 9 times out of 10 none of this will work, people do
tend to be big softies when it comes to weddings, so you never know. |
