My email programs Incredible Mail and Outlook Express suddenly just
quit working. I can use the Earthlink mail program just fine, I can
connect to the internet fine, I can surf the net fine, but I cannot
send or receive emails from either of these programs. I have
reconfigered, installed, uninstalled, changed the DNS numbers, you
name it, I've done it!!! I was on the phone with an earthlink tech
support person for 3 hours!!! I will gladly pay for a solution to this
problem!!!

Did Earthlink support suggest you install a fresh copy of Outlook
express and enter back in the SMTP and POP servers, log and password
again?

Can any other Earthlink customer send and receive via another email
client (they might have followed AOL's lead and changed their policy
to only allow email access using the Earthlink email program.... a big
maybe)

They have made so many suggestions that my head reels. I have
reinstalled both mail programs and neither will work. I get the same
error message from both.....rejected by server, try again later or
contact your service provider. Both of which I did but still no
results. They did not mention anything about using only their
program.

Have you recently installed or updated any antivirus or security software?

No I have not installed any anti virus software but I did find a virus
in this computer. It was calledw/32/elkern.cav.c or w32/BugBear. I
found this by going to the Mcaffee site and running their virus scan.
I thought that might be what was causing the email programs not to
work, but I reckin they don't have any bearing, because I have deleted
them and they programs still do not work.
