I and wife have received the I-485 (application to adjust to Permanent
Resident Status) approval and leading to ordering of Green Card.
However we have not received the approval for our child, 8 years old
( derivative of mine). His application still shows the status as
pending. I wonder why his application has not been approved as my self
being the primary is approved and my wife too being the derivative has
been approved. Also since he is just 8 year old, I guess there would
be no Name check etc/ security issues, should have automatically been
approved.

Now my question are :-
1. What should I do to speed up his approval
2. Since his application is not yet approved, am I free to take other
employment with out jeopardizing his case. Do I still need to be with
sponsoring company till my Childs 485 is approved?(V IMPT)
3. What would be his status now. As I'm no more under L1 and obviously
he too would not be under L2 anymore.
4. What do we do if we need to travel outside US.
5. Is three any time frame for USCIS to approve such applications?
