what is the newest version of firmware for the NEC DVD RW 3500AG?

Thank-you for your question.

According to the NEC website the latest version of the firmware for
the NEC 3500 is 2.1A (please note the 3500AG is the same as the
3500A).

The firmware can be downloaded from here:
http://support.necsam.com/Optical/downloads/FlashFirmware/

The site also includes instructions on how to perform this task should
you require them.
