In the UK there are over 2,000 consumer, professional and business
magazines. When you say 50 publishers, do you mean 50 publishers and
all their titles, or 50 magazine titles and their publisher? Will any
50 suffice - large or small?, etc.

As politicalguru-ga points out below, your question price does not
represent the amount of work which would be required to answer this
question.

For the question price, I could direct you to a UK association which
represent over 75% of the magazine publishers. It contains a database
of over 390 publishers, their web sites and magazine titles. You would
have to dip in and out of each record to obtain the information.

Let me know how you wish to proceed.

Thank you for your clarification. The question price is fine for this
answer. As you now appreciate, with the number of magazines, it would
take a considerable time to prepare the spreadsheet, also researchers
only get 75% of the question price.

The first link is The Periodical Publishers Association, ?PPA?. The
statistics I gave you yesterday came from an old cached copy of their
site. They now ?represents 80 per cent of the UK magazine market by
turnover. Around 400 companies are currently in membership,
representing around 2,300 consumer, business and professional
magazines.?

This is their members? page where you can dig into their database. For
instance, click on the letter ?I? and then go to IPC Media and you
will see there the company?s details, web site and a list of  over 60
magazine titles with their intended market, and in some cases, their
subject.
