Hello ?

I am interested in finding market research papers, white papers, and
citations of both of those that address different aspects of the
software market. The particular topics I am interested in are:
1.	Volume of downloads for shareware in the US and abroad
2.	The number of applications made available for free and for sale by
non-commercial software vendors (hobbyists, individuals, etc.) and for
different categories of the market such as sales, business
administration, finance, etc.
3.	The total value of those applications
4.	The amount spent on those applications
5.	A landscape of the commercial software industry from the giants
like Adobe down to companies with revenues of $1 million.
6.	The size of the ?software component? space both in number of
components for sale and companies selling them.
7.	The revenues associated with the ?component? space.
8.	Any projections or relations to the growth in software use abroad
would be useful as well.

The more information that you can find for free or in derivative works
that cites legitimate research the better.

Please group the research based loosely on the categories above in the format

Your question is about to expire without having been answered and you
might be disappointed.

One possible reason why it hasn't been answered is that you ask
multiple questions on one post. The way Google Answers work means,
that only one Researcher can answer, and only one answer can be given.
When you post multiple questions, if a Researcher has answers to all
but one, they would still not be able to answer it - because they
don't have all of the information you've requested!

If you are still interested in an answer, I suggest that you'll repost
your questions in separate posts.
