I saw another answer about the crime rate in Los Angeles. I was then wondering about the crime rate in Orange County and specifically Yorba Linda. |

Dear barrytrot, The best data currently available can be found in the FBI's "Crime in the United States 2004" report which was published in 2005. Detailed statistics for 2005 are not available yet, so this is the most current date available. The table "Offenses Known to Law Enforcement by City 10,000 and over in Population, 2004" provides the following data about crime in Yorba Linda: Population ------------------------------- 63,077 Violent crime ---------------------------- 54 Murder and non-negligent man-slaughter --- 1 Forcible rape ---------------------------- 9 Robbery ---------------------------------- 11 Aggravated assault ----------------------- 33 Property crime --------------------------- 802 Burglary --------------------------------- 193 Larceny-theft ---------------------------- 543 Motor vehicle theft ---------------------- 66 Arson ------------------------------------ 12 Yorba Linda has the 13th-lowest crime rate in California and the 297th-lowest crime rate nationwide. Hope this answers your question!
