At the end of seemingly every major team sport championship, as the confetti falls, the winning baseball/basketball/football team can be seen wearing hats newly proclaiming them champions. These hats have clearly been printed for both teams sometime prior to the game. My question is, what happens to the losing team's hats? Are they destroyed? Does anyone get to keep them? Actually, I was able to get an answer from the NFL. Their losing team locker room championship hats get donated to an organization called "world vision," a non-profit disaster reflief organization. But I want to know about the NBA and MLB hats as well. For instance, I know there is a hat somewhere that says the Knicks are the 1994 NBA Champions, and that the Mets won the World Series in 2000. But where? Thanks, Jake |

I used to live in West Africa and it wasn't out of the ordinary to see people wearing clothing proclaiming the losing team as winners nor was it odd to see clothing with misspellings on them. Regards, Boquinha-ga |
