Who is calling me from 800-234-1357?  They leave a vague message about
having to speak with me on an important business matter and that this
is not a sales call, but when I call the number they leave for
returning the call, (which is the same as caller ID) they answer as
"Business Services" and will not be more specific.

I am looking for a specific answer as to what company or business is
behind these calls.

I've seen the Stephen Laniel?s blog entry and that doesn't help.  I'm
unable to find the actual entry on Creditboards that shows up in the
google search - only a single entry that essentially repeats my
question.

I am in canada, and we have "Bell".  I know that I can dial *57 and
for a fee of five dollars they will put a trace on a number, however
in order to get the info you have to call the local police department,
and they get it all.

There is another solution to your problem.  You have to say, clearly
and not politely.  "do not call, or have any one call my house again.
If you do, I will consider it harrasment and have the police
involved."  Ask if they are clear with what you said.  YOu have the
right not to be harrassed, by any one, even creditors.  If they call
again, you can have the call traced and have them charged with
harrassment.  You will have to call your local telephone co for the
call trace code for you area.

I got one of these calls too.  They left a computerized message on my
voicemail.  Come to find out, it's a collection agency for medical
offices.
