I would like to see a list of tickers for publicly traded companies
that stand to benefit from rising soft commodity prices. "Softs"
include: coffee, cocoa, sugar, cotton, OJ, lumber.

These companies should be listed on NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ.

So far I only have some for lumber:
RYN PCL DEL POPEZ

Re: coffee, please note that just because the company has the word
coffee in the name doesn't mean it will benefit from rising coffee
prices. Most US-listed coffee stocks that I've seen are retailers who
buy the beans and serve coffee to the public or wholesalers who act as
middlemen.

Thanks!

To find the stocks you seek, I started with the Dow Jones AIG
Commodity Indexes (http://djindexes.com/mdsidx/index.cfm?event=showAigDataCharts).
There is a subindex specifically for the softs. I downloaded five
years of daily price data for the subindex and calculated a
correlation coefficient between that subindex and the price movement
of more than 250 consumer-staples stocks. Here are the stocks with a
correlation coefficient of more than 40% with the softs index:
