Hello,

I'm going to a concert in July and wondered how someone gets a
backstage pass to meet the star. I believe it is called a meet
and greet pass.

Any ideas on this?

I know that if you are press, or a VIP you can get them. You can also get them
from radio stations if you win. How can you get them by paying for
them or other means?

An easy way to get them?

Make up a card that says you are a member of The Press and the chances
are that you can use it to get a Backstage Pass.

But BE WARNED!

Stars are just as ugly as the rest of us without their stage make-up.

Indeed, you might walk straight past him/her without any recognition.

Please let us know how you get on.

Twenty years ago you could buy a press pass in the back of "Writers
Digest" magazine. I think this is how a woman got into a George H. W.
Bush press conference. I wonder if they are still available or if the
magazine is still around.

I was wondering what to do today-- that is, I was wondering how to
avoid the list of stuff I oughtta do. A trip to the bookstore is
always good for getting out of chores...

Try contacting the promoter of the concert.
When concerts are advertised the promoters name is usually included.
e.g. "promoter" presents "star" ; "star" brought to you by "promoter".
Which star is it?
