I have planted Crookneck Squash in my "new area" garden this year. The
plants look awesome but the crooknecks start "warting up" before the
squash is the normal size to pick, the flower hasnt even fallen off
yet. Any thoughts?

Dear deenafay-ga,

One web page I found regarding Crookneck Squash (also known as Summer
Squash) suggests that this "warting" is due to the Mosaic plant virus.
The following web page describes the problem and solutions.
